editor | filmmaker

Kristina Davies is an editor and filmmaker living in New York City. Before working in the film industry, Kristina lived in Louisville, KY where she discovered her musical talents as an angsty teenager. In 1995, she teamed up with a friend and started the band, Half-Seas-Over and toured as much as possible while dancing around and looking ridiculous on stage. In 2001, Kristina met musician Tara Jane Oneil, dropped out of art school, and joined the TJO band. This was an amazing opportunity for Kristina to work and travel as a musician for many years. Kristina eventually moved to Portland, OR, and continued to work with TJO, but in her spare time, played in bands such as Davies vs. Dresch, Spice Tomb, and Totally Anonymous. During this time, Kristina invested in a camera, and collaborated with friends and musicians to make music videos, documentaries, and rock operas. In 2009, Kristina decided to return to school to get some sort of degree. She always enjoyed editing and collaborating on videos in the past, so film seemed like her best bet. In 2011 she moved to NYC to finish her degree at The New School. She continues to work as an editor, but also enjoys cameras, lighting and sound. While in NYC, Kristina hopes to ban plastic bags in the city, and plant as many trees as possible.
